New Kiss Me, Killer lineup hit’s The Plough Inn, Easton

10th June 2019 By Davidkmk Leave a Comment

Finally! The new Kiss Me, Killer lineup stormed the stage at The Plough Inn, Easton after a long hiatus. If you haven’t followed us on Facebook, Cat, previously our backing singer and rhythm guitarist, has taken over lead vocal duties. And brilliant she sounds too.

The Plough gig was put on by promoters Bristol Skum Collective – a new outfit but one that enjoys the involvement of punk scene stalwarts – in support of homelessness charity, Crisis.

New look Kiss Me, Killer at The Plough Inn, Easton

KMK’s new and reworked songs went down a treat, with Gentrification and Megabus seeming to go down well, and we felt very tight as a unit. As well as the lineup changes we played around with style and sounds, David giving the Gordon Smith a rest for a bit and sporting a tremolo-equipped Strat to add a new dimension and Nat now choosing to use his classic Rickenbacker bass, with really helped his propulsive baselines jump out. Cat gave an assured performance and the overall feedback was great, with some really liking the new sound and lineup.

Two piece punk rock outfit 51st State and Bristol music legend Rita Lynch played storming sets. The night raised £220 for the homeless.

Not a bad return to he gigging scene then!

KMK to support the MARTYRIALS at The Louisiana, Bristol

29th May 2018 By Davidkmk Leave a Comment

The band will be supporting the incendiary MARTYRIALS at Bristol’s iconic Louisiana venue on 17 August.

MARTYRIALS is a high energy psychedelic synth-punk outfit pumping out and explosive blend of punk, glam and Rock and Roll.

Punk ethics meet space-delay driven psychedelia like if the Ramones had synthesizers or if System of a Down met the B-52’s and often compared to the erratic sounds of Cardiacs. Formed in 2015 and releasing their second studio album this year, the exciting live shows of the Martyrials are not something to be missed.

See our new Cooper Rose-produced KMK trailer!

15th April 2018 By Davidkmk Leave a Comment

Thanks to Cooper Rose we’ve now got a cool intro video. Filmed by Cooper during our appearance at Umlaut Records’ Dugstock II fest at London’s legendary New Cross Inn, some clever aiding has made us look like one of those bands you just have to check out.

The unbelievable multi-talented Cooper also plays and sings with The Menstrual Cramps and well as recording and producing their records. She’s also a part of the supercool Bad Sidekick, who’ll be realising an EP later in 2018, which is one to look out for.

Bristol’s NITELIFE Magazine covers Hell Hath No Fury’s Menstruals gig

8th April 2018 By Davidkmk Leave a Comment

Go into any of Bristol hipper cafes, haunts and night spots and you’re sure to have seen, or even picked up, a copy of Nitelife Magazine, which showcases the best is the city’s nightlife.

Nitelife has clearly cottoned on to the now exploding new wave of punk bands emerging both in Bristol and across the UK, which are bringing a lot of excitement, and covered a gig promoted by Holly KMK in her Hell Hath No Fury Promotions guise. The headline act were The Menstrual Cramps, one of the biggest and most authentic names in this dizzying explosion of incendiary new DIY music, mixing feminism, humour and onstage dynamism into an infectious package.
